The DASH Diet

Although is sounds a little bit ‘fad’ on the sly – the DASH Diet has been ranked the No. 1 Best Diet Overall for six years in a row by U.S. News & World Report.

I think it boils down to the name really – ‘DASH’ does tend to sound a little bit gimmicky and we all know how many worthless diets there are floating about these days…right?

But DASH actually stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension and it was put together for research sponsored by the U.S. National Institutes of Health.

Simply put – it was aimed at helping to lower blood pressure by way of diet.

The diet itself is rich in calcium, potassium, magnesium and fiber – it’s an extremely healthy way get that blood pressure low and steady!

The video above was complied by Sun Health Center For Health & Wellbeing and the key speaker is a lady named Rhonda Zonoozi (a Certified Health and Wellness Coach as well as a Health Fitness Specialist).
