My name is Chris and I am the proud owner of The Calorie Ninja. Before we get into the ‘guts’ of the site I thought I’d better explain a bit about my background…
I was a pretty lucky teenage boy that stood at an extremely slim 6 foot 3 inches. I played sport…when I felt like it, I eat what I wanted and I never put on weight!
I trained as a musician at Leeds College of Music and then moved on my studies to Amsterdam S.A.E.
During this period of education I enjoyed a rather hectic social life ( and when I say enjoyed, I mean ENJOYED ).
Fast food, late nights and barrels full of alcohol – when I needed to let off steam I certainly did know how to do it in style!
But when I reached the age of 30 my muscles began to wave a little white flag and before I knew it…my jeans seemed a little tight!
This was the first warning – a warning I unfortunately decided to ignore!
At my height and build I’d never get fat right?
Surely my family gene pool will help me sidestep the belly bulge?
Boy, was I in for a shock!
By the time I realized that calories are not that picky I was much heavier than I’d ever been.
What’s worse – people who hadn’t seen me for a while were actually commenting on my weight gain!
It was an awful feeling as I’d always been the good looking guy – slim, fresh-faced and a hit with the ladies…
I needed to do something and do something FAST!

This site has been set up not only for people that ended up in a similar situation as me – it is set up to help ANYONE achieve successful and healthy weight loss.
If you are interested in losing weight, reducing your risk of chronic disease and looking and feeling good, I think you’ll enjoy your stay here.
I’m not claiming to be some sort of health guru and I certainly don’t have any magic weight loss wands – if you want to lose weight I can only take you so far.
The key elements here are dedication and perseverance – I can provide you with the tools, but you must be willing to make the change.
I’m not just talking about a change in diet here – I’m talking about a change in lifestyle! That’s what it is going to take to reach the weight loss goals YOU put in place.
